Weaving Your Energy: A Chakra-Inspired Workshop

Join me in my studio Saturday, February 8, 2025 for a deeply creative and intentional start to the new year. In this 2.5 hour workshop, you’ll explore the ancient wisdom of the chakras through the art of weaving, creating a beautiful, tactile representation of your personal energy.

Using a thoughtfully curated palette of silk sari ribbons, assorted yarns, roving, and rope, you’ll craft a one-of-a-kind wall hanging inspired by the colors and meanings of the seven chakras. As you weave, we’ll explore the significance of each chakra—how they influence your physical, emotional, and spiritual balance—and why tending to them is a powerful way to set intentions for the year ahead.

This workshop isn’t just about creating something beautiful; it’s about infusing your art with meaning. Each knot, thread, and layer will symbolize your journey toward harmony and alignment, resulting in a piece that serves as both decor and a daily reminder to nurture your energy centers.

You’ll leave not only with a stunning weaving but also with a sense of renewal and tools to carry the practice of alignment into the months ahead. Light snacks and tea will be provided to fuel your inspiration. Finished pieces approx 24” X 30”.

The workshop takes place in my sunlit attic studio, a warm, inviting space on Hillegass Avenue in Berkeley, CA.

A few things to keep in mind: The studio is accessed via three flights of stairs and is not ADA accessible. While we have plenty of cozy seating, the artistic process will mainly have you standing as you weave your vision. If you’d like to use a unique hanger, I’ll guide you on how to transfer your piece at home.
